ABOVE is Bob's 1st interview and BELOW is Bob's 2nd one.
Bob Bennett
Bob's first visit to the CCM-RADIO microphones was fun, enlightening, well timed and informative and happened in Huntington Beach, Ca. at the old studios . We learned what he has been up to these past couple decades and how he spends his time as a Christian Music Artist outside of the spotlight. It is incredible to hear the temperance and balance from which he speaks as if he never tasted fame. Sometimes when people get a little taste of notoriety, they crave, seek more and sometimes vigorously! Not this guy. He is Bob whether he is at home watching TV in his pajamas (you know, the ones with the feet attached and the flap door in the back) or on stage in front of 1,000s performing his latest song.
His SECOND visit to the CCM-RADIO microphones, however was a humorous terror!!!!! First he was the first interview in the NEW CCM-RADIO studios which added an extra spark to the environment. It took us an hour and a half to do the 1 hour interview. I had to find out what not to edit out so it would fit into the 1 hour format.
As well as having a heart for Jesus, music and ministry, this man is funnier than Howie Mandell will ever be ! ! ! He got co-hosts Jerry Langford and Kenny Metcalf in such a frendsy of laughter that Kenny had veins popping out in his head and started to turn slightly purple as we tried several times to keep composure. In fact, another CMA was listening to the show and decided to stop in to join the interview. Darrell Mansfield was on his way home from an event and decided to stop in and even Darrell got in on the craziness behind the microphones toward the end.
Anytime we have the opportunity to have Bob Bennett in the studios we will move mountains to make it happen. This is why he is promoting his new Christmas C.D. titled "Christmastide". Some of the sweetest music for Christmas you will play this year and years to come. Listen to the show and the music and then buy this and add it to your collection of C.D.s and iPod songs to listen to at home or at the office Christmas party this year. You'll recognize some of them as traditional Victorian sounding songs, but the others will be ear candy that your ears will not tire listening to.
Warning- Listening to Bob's 2nd interview with CCM-RADIO backwards will not make any sense- but if you listen to it normally, you are sure to enjoy a happy tear of laughter (or 2).
Love ya' Bob! Hurry back.
